The Capital’s rich culture envelopes everyone
A trip to China’s capital in BeiJing can be done in so many different ways, it boggles the mind. I love the deep well of culture the city has, layer upon layer of stories, events, things done and lives lived, which makes this city so amazing. Since the time of the Romans, it has been one of the world’s largest cities, having over a million people even before it was the country’s capital. Although bursting out with outrageous modernity, innovative architecture, high technology, higher learning and current arts and culture, the heritage of the past is everywhere, especially in the core of the city. Nowhere is this more evident than the area North of the central Tian’AnMen Square, which I have written about after having been asked by Quora to contribute my guidance to the question: What are some lesser-known sights to see when visiting Beijing, China?
